TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts rain in Greater Jakarta today, Friday, 27, as the region kicks off the long weekend period related to the Islamic New Year holiday.Citing the latest 24-hour weather forecast from the weather agency, Jakarta is expecting overcast weather from morning to afternoon, with some parts of the city seeing clear skies. Light rain will start drizzling over parts of East and South Jakarta in the evening, at around 7:00 p.m. local time.The air temperature in Jakarta is predicted to remain within the range of 24-32 degrees Celsius. The wind speed is expected to be around 1-13 kilometers per hour.Medium-intensity rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, will pour over Bogor Regency starting this afternoon, which will last into the night. The cities of Bogor and Depok will also experience light to moderate rain starting from 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Bekasi regency and city are expecting overcast weather today. The temperature in Bogor Regency will range from 19-30 degrees Celsius, lower than other areas in Greater Jakarta, where temperatures could reach 32 degrees Celsius during the day. BMKG predicts the air humidity in Greater Jakarta today to be around 60-90 percent.The weather will also be overcast in Tangerang Regency. The cities of Tangerang and South Tangerang are forecast to have light rain this afternoon.
