Computer-generated images have been created that spell out a much-changed future for Birmingham.

With major schemes like HS2 and the ensuing regeneration of Digbeth, Birmingham is set to look very different in the future.

Fortunately, thanks to computer-generated images, you can get a sense now of how that future might look.

A new prospectus has been revealed selling Digbeth to investors includes stunning artist impressions of what the city could achieve.

Birmingham City Council chiefs have unveiled the images showing the city centre, Digbeth, Bordesley Green and the area beyond transformed with major new developments.

The artists’ impressions of the city are from a prospectus aimed at investors and developers which show the scale and the ambition from the council.

Backed up with the messages to encourage residents to have faith in the future after the negativity surrounding the current bin strike and the ongoing council financial problems.

The showpiece of the plans show the new HS2 train sweeping into the city to the new Curzon Street Station, with surrounding housing and leisure facilities across the local area.

This includes a tramline through the region and out to a new sports quarter planned by Birmingham City FC owners, Knighthead at Bordesley Green.
