‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal
Back Circle, North East La Penitence, and Albouystown were among the teams to advance to the next round when the ‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal Championship commenced at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
Back Circle mauled Will Ballers by a 7-1 score-line. Likewise, Abouystown dismantled North Ruimveldt 6-2. On the other hand, North East La Penitence downed Mocha 4-2.
Meanwhile, Stabroek Ballers bested Laing Avenue 4-2, while Bent Street B edged Red Forde 1-0.
The event continues on Friday at the same venue.
The eventual champion will walk away with $1,100,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will pocket $550,000, $275,000, and $137,000, respectively, and the corresponding accolade.
Each winning team in the first round will receive $22,000, while the resulting losing sides will receive $11,000.
In the latter rounds, the winning teams will pocket $50,000, while the losing sides will receive $22,000.
