While the world is waiting for the launch of the iPhone 17 series, Apple has been working in the background on foldable devices as well. Previous rumours also suggested that the company is eyeing to launch a foldable iPad this year. However, as of now, Apple has put a stop to all its foldable iPad production processes. The main reason behind the same is the high production cost associated with it. Furthermore, the same also had negligible consumer demand and some unresolved design issues. The most important part here is that the halt on iPhone production is for infinite time which means we don’t even have an idea about when Apple will think of restarting it. Apple Is Shifting Focus to iPhone Fold As reported by DigiTimes, Apple will now focus on the foldable iPhone instead of the iPad. The report mentioned that Apple’s foldable iPad could have reached a price tag that no one might be willing to pay compared to the features the competitors can offer at the same price. Multiple analysts have suggested that if the iPad Fold ever came into work, then the earliest timeline for the same will be 2028. Talking about the iPhone Fold, Apple is trying to achieve a crease-free display which is still a tough nut to crack for other brands in the market. Rumors have it that Apple could bring its foldable devices by 2026 which will be an amazing feature for sure. If Apple enters the foldable segment, then it will be directly competing with its arch nemesis Samsung along with offerings from Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus. One thing which the Apple iPhone leaks have revealed is that the smartphone will be priced somewhere in the range of $2000 to $3000 which converts to Rs 1,70,000 to Rs 2,50,000 in the Indian market.
