Chairperson of Mahindra group Anand Mahindra is known to share inspiring content on his social media handles. From sharing stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to talking about what’s on his travel bucket list next, Anand always has interesting things to share with his followers. Recently, he happened to share a small clip of a village that has been described as one of the most beautiful villages in the world. Mahindra says this place is now on his radar and that he intends to visit there in December. Well, the place is called Kadamakkudy and it is in Kerala near Kochi. You know what the best part about this place? It’s not one of those mainstream touristy places. A lot of you will agree with this that there is an unparalleled charm in exploring places that are serene, picturesque, with a lot of natural beauty and the ones that are untainted. Kadamakkudy is basically a group of over 14 small islands in the backwaters of Vembanad lake. The islands are interconnected with each other through narrow roads, bridges and country boats. There are a lot of migratory birds that flock here and in the midst of lush greenery, nature and scenic settings, one is likely to feel home away from home. Since the place is not that popular, there are no hotels and resorts per se. However, one can hope to find some good eco-stays and homestays. The best time visit this place is between October and March since the weather is pleasant and one can be outdoors for a long time without feeling uncomfortable.
