AWKA – The Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of As-sembly and member represent-ing Ekwusigo state constituency, Hon. Chief Ikenna Ofodeme, has vehemently stated that any person contesting against Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in the November 8 gu-bernatorial polls is an enemy of progress.
Ofodeme, who stated this at a strategic meeting of the Solu-tion Marshals held at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Develop-ment Centre, Awka, wondered what other contestants are com-ing to do because he believes that there is no vacancy in the Government House.
Ofodeme questioned candi-dates of other political parties, saying that their curriculum vitae and past records cast blem-ishes on them and render their social values worthless.
He therefore maintained that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is a professor in all ram-ifications and there is absolutely no need to look for someone else when the state is already mak-ing meaningful progress with him on the saddle.
He was of the opinion that the need to return Governor Soludo for a second term in of-fice cannot be overemphasised because other contestants, ac-cording to him, have nothing different or better they want to offer to Ndi-Anambra.
The leader of the majority in the 8th legislature therefore admonished the citizenry to rally around the governor and support him massively in order to reelect him for a second term in office.
