The Parliament committee on Transport has summoned the civil aviation secretary and Boeing officials to appear before the committee regarding safety concerns.The panel is likely to conduct a detailed study of the Ahmedabad plane crash and is planning to hold deliberations over the same with various stakeholders, including the DGCA, Air India, Boeing, and others, sources told ET.The committee, chaired by Rajya Sabha MP and JDU’s national working president Sanjay Jha, also deals with issues related to civil aviation. The panel is planning to come up with a detailed report on the safety of passengers in aeroplanes, and in this regard, it is looking to hold wider discussions on the Ahmedabad plane crash, sources said.ALSO READ: India denies entry to UN aviation investigator in Air India crash probe, say sourcesThe panel, at its next meeting next week, will decide the contours of the deliberations on this incident, sources said.
