ITTN鈥檚 Sharon Jordan and Katie Doyle joined Blaithin O鈥橠onnell, Sales Manager Ireland for Air Canada, at an inaugural press lunch in Dublin鈥檚 Westbury Hotel.
Blaithin guided the group through an overview of Air Canada鈥檚 operations in Ireland, highlighting in particular the unique features of its services and routes. She also shared essential information for travellers to Canada.
After the presentation, everyone read out fun facts about Canada that were placed around the table鈥攖hese served as great ice breakers over lunch. Blaithin also chatted about visa requirements for Canada, joking that it costs just 鈧1 a year for the privilege!
UK, Irish, and EU passport holders require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada. The eTA costs 7 Canadian dollars and is valid for five years. Travellers should apply for the eTA before departure鈥攁pproval is typically fast but shouldn鈥檛 be left to the last minute.
Blaithin concluded her polished presentation by noting that Air Canada has won multiple awards for its in-flight entertainment. She also highlighted that connecting flights and Winter Sun Destinations are a significant part of Air Canada鈥檚 business from Ireland.
