Aadhaar Update Document List 2025: The managing body of India’s biometric card ‘Aadhaar’, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), has published a detailed list of documents that residents can use for Aadhaar’s update or enrollment. The extensive list also applies to individuals, Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs), children under 5 years old, OCI card holders, and others.
New Rule For Multiple Aadhaar Numbers
UIDAI has introduced a new regulation for individuals who have been issued multiple Aadhaar numbers. According to the latest amendment, only the first Aadhaar number with biometric data (fingerprints and iris scans) will be kept, and all other Aadhaar numbers for that person will be invalidated.
Required Documents
A variety of documents can be provided to verify proof of identity, address, relationship, or date of birth for updating Aadhaar information for people of any age.
This list is relevant for Indian nationals, overseas citizens of India (OCI), children above five years, long-term visa (LTV) holders, and foreign nationals. Documents are classified based on their validity as proof of identity (PoI), address (PoA), relationship (PoR), or date of birth (DoB)
