The food retailer is is unveiling a series of impactful initiatives centred around nutrition, education, youth empowerment and inclusivity. These are designed to support fans and players alike, fostering a positive and healthy environment throughout the tournament. An array of activities have been planned both within fan zones and across the tournament venues in Switzerland. Empowering the next generation: the Lidl Youth Camp At the heart of Lidl’s partnership with UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is a profound desire to create lasting impact. To this end, the company introduced the Lidl Youth Camp, a unique football and healthy lifestyle programme for young women, developed in partnership with #WePlayStrong. This pan-European, weekend-long programme offers a dedicated space for young women to unlock their potential, fuel their ambition and grow stronger, together. It represents a significant step in nurturing the next generation of female leaders and athletes. Fresh choices for fan zones Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to promoting conscious choices for individuals, communities and the planet, Lidl will once again provide ‘fresh stations’ within the fan zones. These stations will offer convenient and healthy fruit cups, ensuring fans have access to fresh, wholesome options. Fostering inclusivity: awareness teams at every match Lidl is collaborating with UEFA to deploy dedicated awareness teams at all eight stadiums across all 31 matches taking place during the league. Comprised of specially trained ambassadors, these teams are committed to cultivating inclusive and respectful environments for all attendees. Acting as friendly faces in the crowd, they will promote fairness and respect, offering support, encouraging unity and ensuring the joy of the game is shared by everyone. A pitch-sized commitment to freshness and community Further underscoring its dedication to conscious nutrition and freshness, Lidl has created a remarkable initiative near Zurich for Swiss tourists and UEFA football fans. Just 30 minutes from the city, Lidl has cultivated a unique food source, shaped and sized like a football pitch. This innovative project features eight varieties of fruit and vegetables, anticipated to yield over 15 tonnes of fresh produce. All harvested produce will be donated to various charitable organisations.
