An interesting READ:
Introduction
These daunting themes are being fearlessly explored today, in order to lay a spiritual ladder for those humble seekers who have set their aspirations to attain hitherto unimagined levels of spirituality.
Greater Works?
Jesus Christ, while on earth told His disciples in John 14: 12 that they would do Greater Works. Jesus walked on water. He stilled the storms; Turned water into wine; Raised the dead more than twice; Used a few loaves to feed thousands of people; Predicted His own death; Chose the town to die in; Rose up on the third day after being buried; lived, and visited people for more than a month after rising from death; Physically, publicly rose from the ground and drifted upwards, right up, and into the clouds…
What other Greater Works are still available to do? Remembering that He does not lie, I am keen to do those Greater Works.
First: What works could be Greater than those performed sparingly by Christ?
Ubiquity gave birth to the adjective ubiquitous, which means, being at different places at the same time. In most cases, only God has been favoured with this other worldly attribute. He is in heaven and on earth simultaneously. He is in you and in me too. Yet, adepts, initiates and several humans naturally endowed with supernatural inclinations, can get to the level in spiritual practice, where they exhibit this phenomenon.
Sometimes too, simple brothers (with no pretence to esoteric sciences and high-wired churching) may find themselves being used or displayed on this rather high spiritual pedestal, with absolutely no exertion by them. There was once such a case earlier in my spiritual journey, when friends in the South West of the country debated that they saw me visit their home on a Sunday afternoon – meanwhile, I was in the South East of the country, and had no idea what was happening, until they called me to confirm my exact location. I was truly ubiquitous, and did not know.
Teleportation
Teleportation is the movement of a person or group of persons from one place to another, without the use of the conventional, well known means of transportation. It was teleportation that moved Phillip the Evangelist, from the spot where he baptised the Ethiopian Eunuch, to Azotus, where he was suddenly seen preaching in the streets.
The Bible says, the Holy Spirit lifted and did the teleportation. So, it is neither occult, nor witchcraft to get teleported, to teleport others or to deliberately teleport oneself. It was via the combined principles of levitation and teleportation that Jesus sent out His disciples on a ship, but later met them, walking on water. It was not mere running with which Elijah outran the king’s chariot. (Imagine you over-speeding and overtaking the speeding convoy of a state governor). It was a seamless blend of running, gliding and, basically, teleportation.
Levitation
Levitation, in simple terms, is basically the act of rising from the ground without any visible means, not walking, not climbing, but just rising upwards… and possibly, returning to the same spot from where the person rose.
It was via levitation that Christ ascended into the skies, right in front of crowds of people. It was a combined force of levitation and teleportation that snatched up Elijah in a fiery chariot, right along the road, until he was sped up into the skies. The script writers that scripted the infallible scriptures cast it thus, “Enoch WAS NOT, for GOD TOOK HIM.” Simply put, the man either literally disappeared, or was teleported to some divine location, whether in the skies, or wherever.
Conclusion
Jesus even passed through walls… or closed doors. John 20:19: “Then on that same first day of the week, when it was evening, though the disciples were behind closed doors for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace to you!
20. So saying, He showed them His hands and His side. And when the disciples saw the Lord, they were filled with joy (delight, exultation, ecstasy, rapture).
21. Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you.
22. And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit!
23 (Now having received the Holy Spirit, and being [b]led and directed by Him) if you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained.
Impliedly, no, explicitly, we have authority from the Christ Himself, to forgive sins…or even to refuse to forgive people their sins.
Imagine it…and, wait for it!!!…a plain demonstration of how to Pass Through Walls, Physically, not in dreams and not via occult incantations!
Is not it saddening that the average Christian faithful lacks the faith to do the Greater Works the Christ said we will do?
