Eight Including Groom Killed After Speeding SUV Crashes Into College Wall In UP

A 25-year-old groom, along with seven other members of a family, was killed after their SUV crashed into a college wall in Uttar Pradesh鈥檚 Sambhal on Friday. The victims also include two minors.
The incident took place in Jewanai village around 6:30 a.m. The driver, who was driving at high speed, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the boundary wall and then overturned near Janata Inter College.
Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Anukriti Sharma said, 鈥淎 SUV carrying a wedding party, including the groom, lost control and collided with the wall of Janata Inter College in Jewanai. Upon receiving information, immediate rescue operations were launched.鈥
While five people, including the groom Suraj, died on the spot, three others were rushed to the hospital. However, they succumbed to their injuries. Two others who were in the vehicle are currently undergoing treatment and are critical.

They have been referred to a higher medical centre in Aligarh.
The deceased include Suraj (24), Asha (26), Aishwarya (2), Vishnu (6), and three others.
According to the eyewitnesses cited by PTI, the car was running at a very high speed before it lost control and struck the wall. There were 10 people in the car. The wedding party was en route from Har Govindpur village to Sirtoul in Budaun.
