Coleen Rooney has overtaken husband Wayne Rooney as the top breadwinner of their family after seeing an incredible rise in profits from her business ventures. While the Manchester United legend鈥檚 earnings have undergone a fall in recent times, his better half has reportedly made a 拢1.3million profit and surpassed his income.
As per The Sun, last year, Coleen raked up a whopping 拢5million from her stint on 鈥業鈥檓 A Celebrity鈥, signing up the biggest pay deal in the show鈥檚 history. Since then, her firm CWR 2021鈥檚 new figures have indicated a threefold increase in her endorsements and media career income.
Publishing her accounts for the year to September 2024 on Wednesday, July 2, Coolen confirmed that her overall income has soared to 拢580,000.
In contrast, former England captain Rooney was on a 拢500,000 contract with Plymouth Argyle before the experienced head left his role as a manager in December. At his peak, the Red Devils striker used to charge 拢300,000 a week for his services.
Coleen鈥檚 rise to become the main breadwinner of the family will now be chronicled in a Disney+ documentary, The Rooneys, where she will be seen running her booming business while her hubby takes the couple鈥檚 four sons to school.
鈥淭hese earnings show that, even before Coleen signed up for I鈥檓 A Celeb, she was already bringing in more money than Wayne,鈥 The Sun quoted a financial expert on Rooney鈥檚 wife and her wealth. 鈥淥n the back of her jungle stint, where she was incredibly popular with the viewing public, she鈥檚 now likely to see her earnings soar even further.鈥
鈥淎nd the increased interest in Coleen after she did so well on the show is also likely to have sealed the deal on the Disney contract. Getting big bucks from a global streamer, plus her pay cheque from ITV, will no doubt swell Rooney鈥檚 coffers even further.鈥
After wrapping up the I鈥檓 A Celebrity stint, Coleen has had multiple hefty endorsement deals on her roster, including the health supplement brand Applied Nutrition. On the other hand, Rooney has turned to punditry since ending his managerial duties with the Plymouth side.
