Diabetes prevalence higher in poorer and less educated groups in Ireland, study finds

Diabetes is more prevalent in lower socioeconomic groups and in people with lower levels of education in Ireland, according to new research.

The rate of the disease is nearly three times higher among people in poorer areas compared to people living in more affluent parts of the country.
