In an announcement that has excited all Disneyland enthusiasts, India too could soon be home to a theme park modelled on the famous franchise as per Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini who revealed plans for a massive 500-acre space in Manesar, just a short drive from Delhi. It will be located along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, and put the National Capital Region (NCR) on the global map alongside Disneyland destinations in Paris, Tokyo, and California. Describing it as a 鈥済ame-changer鈥 for Haryana鈥檚 economy and cultural profile, Saini declared the park would generate thousands of jobs, turbocharge infrastructure, and spark growth in hospitality and real estate. 鈥淭his entertainment hub will bring economic, cultural, and social benefits not only to Haryana but to the entire country,鈥 the CM said after meeting with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The location couldn鈥檛 be more perfect. Minutes from Gurugram鈥檚 bustling corporate towers and the upcoming 1,000-acre Global City project, India’s Disneyland would be accessible to both local and international travellers. While Disney has yet to issue an official statement, officials confirmed that groundwork for the project is already underway and excitement is soaring. As of now, the park is only ‘inspired’ by Disneyland. Whether it’ll be a part of the franchise is yet to be confirmed. And the theme park is a small part of Haryana’s bold plans to entice travellers. The state is expanding the iconic Surajkund Crafts Mela to include a Diwali Fair and Book Fair, and seeking central funds to amplify the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra. Experts believe this mix of heritage festivals and modern mega-attractions could transform Haryana into India鈥檚 next must-visit destination.
