Riddhi Kumar Dreams of Playing Rekha In Her Biopic Helmed By Sanjay Leela Bhansali

While promoting her upcoming film The Raja Saab with Prabhas, Riddhi opened up about her dream during a recent media interaction. 鈥淚 wish to play Rekha ji in her biopic, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. That is my dream project,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 even wrote him a letter 鈥 like, a coffee-dipped, hand-curated, burnt-edges, vintage letter with a sealed stamp. I hope he鈥檚 watching this interview and reads the letter… and casts me as Rekha in his film.鈥

When asked whether Rekha inspired her to pursue acting, Riddhi had a thoughtful answer: 鈥淚 really like Rekha ji as an individual鈥攚hat it means to be the embodiment of being unabashedly yourself. But my love for acting comes from a deeper place. I鈥檝e always been drawn to the arts鈥攑ainting, writing, dancing, singing. I even do oil painting. Acting, to me, is the ultimate form of self-expression鈥攊t brings together body, voice, soul, and emotion.鈥

Meanwhile, fans will soon see Riddhi on screen in The Raja Saab, a romantic horror comedy directed by Maruthi, starring Prabhas in a dual role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Malavika Mohanan (in her Telugu debut). Produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, the film is set to release on 5 December 2025. Until then, we鈥檒l be watching to see if Bhansali picks up that beautifully crafted letter!
