HYBE, the parent company of K-pop icons like BTS, SEVENTEEN and TXT (Tomorrow X Together), is going global in ways more than one can imagine. After confirming of expanding its branch in India after the US, Japan, China and more, the company is now set to undertake its first integrated global audition. HYBE’s new initiative aims to discover the next generation of K-pop superstars. The label made the official announcement leaving K-pop fans excited and anticipating for newer talent coming to fore. HYBE had launched BTS in June 2013, came out with SEVENTEEN in May 2015 and TXT in March 2019, among other bands. ALSO READ: BTS, SEVENTEEN Coming To India Is Possible! HYBE CONFIRMS Establishing Local Branch Sooner Than ARMYs Expected – Deets Inside HYBE Music Group Audition launched On July 4, HYBE Labels Audition’s official social media handles announced the launch of the HYBE Music Group Audition, along with a poster featuring a golden ring. The caption read, “A new stage begins. One application, a chance to be evaluated by eight labels.” Grammy-winning producer Ryan Tedder is also part of the initiative. Tedder is already involved in a new boy group project with HYBE. Single submission for all HYBE’s subsidiaries The latest move is the music giant’s first attempt at a consolidated audition process across its eight affiliated labels. The subsidiaries under the HYBE umbrella include BigHit Music, BELIFT LAB, Source Music, PLEDIS Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, ADOR, YG PLUS鈥檚 YX Labels, and more. The audition would offer applicants the unique opportunity to be considered by all the subsidiaries under a single submission. Artist qualification According to Allkpop, the audition is open for those born in or after 2007, and is open to all nationalities and genders. The applicants will get a chance to show varied talents like singing, dancing, and other skills as a potential artist. Online submissions will remain open from July 14 to September 7. HYBE will also host a pop-up event in Japan from August 27 to 30 in anticipation of the global auditions.
