As 3BHK and Paranthu Po arrived in theatres today (July 4). The social media is buzzing with first reactions. Moviegoers have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to share early impressions of the two Tamil films, 3BHK, starring Siddharth in a coming-of-age drama, and Paranthu Po, a musical road comedy led by Shiva. If you’re torn between which film to catch first this weekend, here are 10 tweets you might want to check out before booking your ticket. 3BHK Twitter reviews One of the users wrote, “3BHK is Love, 3BHK is reality, 3BHK is life. What a complete Film Filled with all sorts of emotions. Everyone has given their best, you can’t easily finalise who did the best performance. Heart full work from @sri_sriganesh89. Congrats #Sidaarth, @RaghunathMeetha @Chaithra_Achar_ @iamarunviswa” Calling 3BHK a ‘blockbuster’ another wrote, “Emoted ! Melted ! Laughed ! Cried ! Dedicated to all Families” #3BHK has a heartfelt premise with relatable content but falls short in execution.Emotional core gets diluted by cinematic staging & predictable narrative.Siddharth & Chaithra’s love portion was beautiful & Sarath Kumar gave solid performance. Songs & music were great. Watchable. “#3BHK – 3.75 stars. Such a wholesome movie. About shattered dreams, survival and delayed success. One of those rare films that has at least half a dozen highly relatable moments that’ll connect with you on a personal level. For a film that sells the dream of owning a home, it pleasantly surprises you with quite a few touching sub-plots that makes the film even more accessible. So happy for @sri_sriganesh89, who has a definite winner.” 3BHK is the first film that brings together director Sri Ganesh and actor Siddharth, and it’s produced by Arun Viswa under the Shanti Talkies banner. The film was earlier called Siddharth40, marking the actor’s 40th movie. It also brings veteran actors Sarathkumar and Devayani back on screen together after 20 years. Set in Chennai, the story follows Prabhu (Siddharth), his father Vasudevan (Sarathkumar), and his mother Shanthi (Devayani), as they try to buy their dream home, a 3BHK apartment. The film captures the emotional highs and financial struggles they face during the process. Meetha Raghunath plays Prabhu’s younger sister, while Chaithra J. Achar, in her Tamil debut, appears as Aishwarya, his love interest. The cast also includes Yogi Babu, Subbu Panchu, and Vivek Prasanna. Paranthu Po Twitter reviews On the other hand, Ram’s directorial venture Paranthu Po introduced Malayalam actors Grace Antony and Aju Varghese to the Tamil film industry. The film also features Shiva Mitul Ryan, Vijay Yesudas, Dia, Jesse Kukku, Balaji Sakthivel, and Sreeja Ravi in key roles. The film had its premiere at the 54th International Film Festival of Rotterdam earlier this year. Ever since its release, the film has been receiving rave reviews. One of the users tweeted, “An Engaging Feel-Good Musical Comedy Film. Simple Storyline & Director Ram Handles It Well By Adding Fun Elements Throughout. Shiva’s One Liner Comedy Works Very Effectively. Grace Antony Delivers A Good Performance. There Are Many Tracks In The Movie & Overall Music Is Enjoyable. This Film Will Surely Satisfy Both Kids & Parents. A GOOD WATCH (3.5-3.75/5)” Another wrote, “A Feel-Good Family Entertainer!
