A man allegedly attempted to set a house on fire in Bengaluru’s Viveknagar over a long-standing Rs 5 lakh loan dispute, on July 1, 2025. CCTV footage captured the accused, Subramani, pouring petrol and setting the house ablaze while two family members were inside. As per reports, neighbours intervened and extinguished the fire in time. An FIR has been registered in view of the same. In another incident, a staff member at a popular coffee shop in Bengaluru was brutally attacked on Wednesday evening after refusing to serve an extra cup of coffee to a customer. The entire incident was caught on CCTV cameras. Reportedly, the incident happened at Namma Filter Coffee in Seshadripuram. A group of men had asked for an extra cup of coffee, but the staff refused, citing the restaurant’s policy, which requires customers to purchase another cup. The employee was abused, punched, kicked, and struck on the head by the group. The violent act was caught on CCTV cameras installed in the cafe. A complaint has been registered at the Seshadripuram Police Station. In a separate news, a violent clash broke out between two groups near Jyothi Nivas College in Koramangala. The CCTV footages shows both groups throwing stones on each other during the fight. The incident occured around 1:30 AM on June 7.
