Tragic footy ace Diogo Jota posted a heart breaking final video of his wedding on social media just hours before his death . The Liverpool star – who died in a horror crash in Spain in the early hours of this morning – shared the clip with the caption “A day we will never forget.” Jota, 28, married long-term partner Rute Cardoso just 10 days ago in a glitzy ceremony in their hometown of Porto. The Portuguese international, capped 49 times by his national team , popped the question in 2022 in a picturesque lakeside setting, 10 years after the couple first got together. The couple, who had three children together, shared intimate photos of their big day in a joint post on Instagram, with Rute stunning in a white dress while Jota looked dapper in a smart navy suit. They shared pictures of them in front of the altar with their three children and the couple emerging from the ceremony with a bouquet of pink and white roses. Rute shared further pictures from their wedding day in a new post on her own page and said: 鈥淢y dream come true.鈥 Smitten Jota left a comment which said: 鈥淚鈥檓 the lucky one.鈥 The loved-up couple were seen in adorable family snaps on Rute’s instagram in May celebrating Liverpool’s title win on the Anfield pitch with the Premier League trophy. In other pictures, Rute and the kids can be seen in Liverpool shirts, showing support for her husband, captioned with the words from the Reds’ anthem “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Porto-born Jota was involved in a car accident in Zamora, Spain, and died alongside his brother. He played on the left wing and at centre forward for Liverpool after joining from Wolves in 2020 for a fee of 拢41million. He’d started his career in his hometown, playing for Pa莽os de Ferreira. He made his first Primeira Liga appearance in 2015 and a year later moved to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. But he never made an appearance in La Liga and spent a year on loan at FC Porto where he scored eight goals before signing for then-Championship side Wolves on loan. Aged just 20, he made the move permanent for a reported 拢12million before Jurgen Klopp signed him for Liverpool bolstered in a 拢45million deal. He became a key player at the club and scored 47 Premier League goals and helped Liverpool win the Premier League, FA Cup and two Carabao Cups in five seasons.
