Love Island has been bombarded with a whopping 1138 Ofcom complaints after ‘bullying and misogyny’ on the show reached a shocking new low and left viewers disgusted.
The twelfth series of the ITV2 dating show returned to our screens last month and has certainly brought the drama.
So much so, that those watching at home have taken to complain to the telly regulator because of last week’s episodes that aired last week.
According to The Sun, a whopping 884 viewers complained about the row that aired between Yasmin and Ben on June 26.
Love Island fans branded the taxi driver ‘the biggest child’ and demanded ‘someone get him out of the villa’ after he locked horns with Yasmin.
The following day, another 131 took to the regulator because of Helena and Harrison’s smooch in the hideaway – and the publication reported that viewers thought that the programme ‘failed to intervene appropriately’.

Harrison was coupled up with Toni at the time, leaving her heartbroken.
According to the publication, Meg’s behaviour also came under scrutiny.
But these moments weren’t the only complaints that were made recently thought.
The week before, 123 viewers weren’t happy with that happened following the game Look Who’s Talking.
MailOnline contacted ITV for comment.
Last week saw Ben and Yas get close under the covers, but then later saw him say to the boys that he was no longer interested in getting to know her, pulling her for a chat to say: ‘I feel like we went from 0 to 100 real quick and I’m going to be taking a step back.’
However, Ben later told Shakira that he had never really been feeling things with Yasmin, claiming she had initiated intimacy between them in bed and had been ‘all over him’.
Shakira promptly relayed the information to her friend, who was left furious, with Toni encouraging her to confront him, saying: ‘Someone needs to give Ben a piece of their mind and you’re the perfect one.’

The banking executive marched over and things quickly became heated, as Ben repeatedly put her down and interrupted to say: ‘Are you done ranting?’
Yasmin hit back that it ‘wasn’t the Ben show and the world didn’t revolve around Ben’, before admitting: ‘It’s taking everything in me not to snap’.
As she walked away, Ben shouted after her: ‘This is amazing content…
‘You’ve just given Love Island three weeks of content’, as Yasmin called him ‘immature’.
But even after the argument was over, a fuming Ben continued to throw out insults, saying that ‘no man wants you in here’ and adding: ‘Yasmin is the most irrelevant girl I’ve ever met’.
And viewers watching the explosive scenes were appalled at his behaviour, calling it ‘disgusting’, ‘immature’ and ‘disturbing’, while referencing Sabrina Carpenter’s recent hit single Manchild, as an apt description for Ben.
It’s not the first time that the show has received complaints.
The most recent series of Love Island All Stars was hit with over 2000 Ofcom complaints.
Drama reached boiling point when Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Curtis Pritchard sparked yet another argument with Elma Pazar and Sammy Root.
A steamy heart rate challenge caused a rift before another row exploded following the snog, marry, pie challenge.
The incidents had Elma’s friends claiming the ‘hate has gone too far’ after viewers called out her actions on social media.
On February 12, there were 1,347 complaints made to the regulator, followed by 820 on February 11, 63 on February 13 and 57 on February 16, The Mirror reports.
Ekin-Su was reportedly ‘issued a warning by ITV bosses’ after she started one of the explosive arguments.
Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available to stream on ITVX.
