White Worms Deep In The Pulp: Before You Bite Into That Mango, Watch This Viral Video

An alarming incident from Bihar鈥檚 Gopalganj district has unsettled social media users. A woman who bought fresh-looking mangoes from the local market was horrified when her husband discovered white worms crawling inside the fruit鈥檚 pulp. Radhika Devi, 32, had purchased ripe, yellow mangoes from the market.
They appeared juicy and fresh from the outside. Her husband, 35-year-old Santosh Yadav, peeled one and began eating it directly 鈥 only to immediately feel something odd in his mouth. Upon closer inspection, he noticed small white worms moving inside the mango pulp.
Santosh was so repulsed that he began vomiting and spat out the mango instantly. Radhika, alarmed by the experience, recorded a video of the mango and uploaded it on social media to warn others.
The video shows that the mango appeared normal externally, but once peeled, worms were clearly visible inside the pulp. In the clip, Radhika says, 鈥淭he mango looked perfectly fine from the outside. I never imagined it could be like this inside. My husband鈥檚 condition worsened after eating it, it was terrifying.鈥

Fruit Spoilage During Monsoon
Experts say the monsoon season is a peak time for such incidents due to humidity and improper storage. Gopalganj鈥檚 Food Safety Officer, Dr Ramesh Chandra, noted that insect infestations in fruits rise significantly during the summer and rainy seasons. He advised fruit sellers to store fruits in clean, cool conditions to prevent spoilage.
He also appealed to the public to check both the exterior and interior of fruits before consumption and avoid purchasing any that smell odd or have an unusual texture. Doctors warn that eating fruits infested with worms can lead to bacterial or fungal infections, which can be harmful to health.
