A solemn prayer meet was held in Mumbai on July 2 to honour the memory of Shefali Jariwala, whose untimely demise left the entertainment world in shock. Family, close friends, and well-wishers came together to pay their respects to the beloved actor, whose sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of many.
A heartbreaking video from the ceremony has surfaced online, capturing an especially poignant moment between Shefali鈥檚 grieving father and her husband, Parag Tyagi. In the clip, her father is seen overcome with sorrow, weeping inconsolably, as Parag, visibly distraught himself, sits beside him, offering comfort in silence and solidarity. A photograph of Shefali, lovingly adorned with flowers, rests in the background鈥攁 stark reminder of the light gone too soon.

The video, now widely shared on Instagram, also includes a note from the prayer meet鈥檚 invite that read: 鈥淪ome stars shine too brightly to ever fade 鈥 even after they鈥檙e gone, their light remains.鈥
Shefali鈥檚 close friend Pooja Ghai, in a heartfelt conversation with journalist Vickey Lalwani, opened up about the actor鈥檚 final moments. 鈥淗er eyes weren鈥檛 opening and there was a heaviness in her body,鈥 she recalled. 鈥淧arag must鈥檝e sensed something was very wrong and rushed her to the hospital鈥 but she was already gone before reaching Bellevue.鈥
Shefali Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital on June 27 by her husband, following what is believed to be a sudden cardiac arrest. Sadly, she was declared dead on arrival. The Mumbai Police have since sent her body for a post-mortem to determine the precise cause of death.
In the days following her passing, visuals from her final rites at the Oshiwara crematorium and subsequent asthi visarjan have surfaced. In one particularly emotional video, Parag Tyagi is seen holding back tears as he carries Shefali鈥檚 ashes to the sea鈥攁n intimate glimpse into the depth of his loss.
As tributes continue to pour in, Shefali Jariwala is remembered not just as a performer, but as a radiant soul whose legacy will endure far beyond the screen.
