Turkey inflation dips to 35% in June, a bit below forecast

Turkish annual consumer price inflation dipped a bit more than expected to 35.05% in June, official data showed on Thursday. Month-on-month, inflation was 1.37%, the Turkish Statistical Institute said, also below forecasts. In May, it also came in lower than expected at 1.53% monthly and 35.41% annually. In a Reuters poll, the monthly inflation rate was expected to be 1.45% in June, with the annual rate seen at 35.2%. The domestic producer price index rose 2.46% month-on-month in June for an annual rise of 24.45%, the data showed.(You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel)
