Indian Woman Skydives From 10,000 Feet On Her 80th Birthday, Sets New Record – VIDEO

Looking for a thrilling way to celebrate your birthday? Here’s a story that’s going viral and might just inspire your next big adventure. Dr. Shraddha Chauhan, an 80-year-old woman, has become the oldest Indian woman to complete a skydive, marking her milestone birthday by jumping from a height of 10,000 feet. Despite dealing with health issues like vertigo, cervical spondylitis, and spinal disc problems, Dr. Chauhan accomplished this daring feat at Skyhigh India, located at the Narnaul Airstrip in Haryana, just two hours from Delhi. This location is India’s only certified civilian drop zone. The now-viral video was shared by Skyhigh India’s official Instagram handle. It shows Dr. Chauhan getting ready for her skydive with the help of her son, Retired Brigadier Saurabh Singh Shekhawat—one of the most decorated officers in the Indian Army. In the clip, he proudly says, “Happy Birthday,” as Dr. Chauhan kisses him on the cheek, clearly overwhelmed with emotion. Dr. Chauhan also shared her happiness, stating, “The desire I had in my heart to fly in the sky like an aeroplane, today my son has fulfilled that wish. It’s a very proud moment.” The video captures heartwarming moments of the brigadier helping his mother warm up with stretches, assisting her with gear inside the aircraft, and finally, the breathtaking free fall—captured by a GoPro camera—highlighting their shared moment in the sky. After the landing, Dr. Chauhan was celebrated by an enthusiastic crowd, cheering her on for making history. The caption of the post read: “She is now the oldest Indian woman to do a tandem skydive – and the oldest to do so within India. A mother. A milestone. A moment that soared. Courage knows no age. Love has no altitude.”
