Squid Game Season 3 star Park Gyu-Young, who played No-Eul (Pink Guard 011) has finally broken silence on the spoiler click she allegedly uploaded by mistake soon after the release of its season 2 in January 2025. Now that its finale is out and audience knows her character helped Park Gyeong-Seok aka Player 246 (Lee Jin-Wook) escape the island, things have become clearer proving fans weren’t wrong when they guessed it was indeed Lee in the click that Park posted on Instagram, which was later deleted. Addressing the controversy that followed, and the penalty she could’ve been slapped with, Park said, “Over the past few months, I think I showed a disappointing side of myself. Many of you may have been let down. But since I have this opportunity to speak to you directly, I want to address the questions I previously avoided out of concern they might harm the project.” Deets about her spoiler upload Park shared a click from the set of Squid Game Season 3 in her Instagram stories, featuring herself resting on a chair presumably between the shoots. She was seen dressed in her pink jumpsuit. What grabbed the attention of fans was another actor in the same pink uniform. Though the face wasn’t clearly visible, many were convinced it was Lee Jin-Wook. Park quickly deleted the photo, but it took no time to get circulated across the internet. This was because season 2 ending did not show Lee’s dead body and many fan theories have ever since been doing the rounds that he’d return in season 3, which he did. Lee Jin-Wook’s response to Park’s mistake Reacting to fans’ disappointment with the image revealing key story details from the plot ahead, Park said, “I believe I caused a lot of disappointment by unintentionally spoiling something on social media. Although I was asked about it at the press conference, I don’t think I gave a proper response then, so I’d like to take this opportunity to explain.” “Right after I uploaded the photo, I immediately contacted the production team, the director, and senior actor Jin Wook to apologize. The director told me, ‘Let’s make sure this kind of mistake never happens again.’ Although Jin Wook sunbae said he was totally fine, I still spent a long time reflecting on my lack of awareness and maturity, and how I failed to take full responsibility for the project,” the 31-year-old added. Sharing more about Lee Jin-Wook’s response, Park stated, “I reached out to him right away, and he actually comforted me by joking that he appreciated the attention. I felt even more sorry and grateful because of that. During the press conference, too, he tried to comfort me, and I was deeply thankful but also felt I didn’t deserve it.” As part of her apology, Park told her fans, “I just want to speak without excuses. I know many of you had high expectations for Season 3 after Season 2 ended. And I’m sure you began the season already guessing certain developments, like Lee Jin Wook’s survival and character arc. I sincerely apologize for that, without offering any defense. I did blame myself a lot, but more than that, I felt a deep sense of guilt toward the director, who constructed such a thoughtful storyline, and the production team who brought it to life.” ALSO READ: Squid Game 3 Alternate Ending: Gi-Hun’s Final Escape From Island Was Different; Creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk REVEALS Idea Behind Baby’s Plot Netflix penalty clause Though many had back then claimed Netflix might levy heavy penalty on her, she said, “I can’t go into the specifics of the contract, but rather than penalties, the response was more focused on ensuring that nothing like this happens again. There were pre-filming guidelines about being careful with leaks or exposure, but there was no mention of penalties, and I want to clarify that as carefully as I can.” Park Gyu-Young’s No-Eul is one of the character who survives Squid Game Season 3. She is shown to leave for China as her next location in search of her missing daughter towards the finale.
