After the historic success of the inaugural season of the Pickleball Premier League – Lawyer’s Edition, LawStrings Management is set to launch the LawStrings Pickleball Cup, India鈥檚 first-ever pickleball tournament for law firms, set to be held in August in Delhi NCR. The tournament has been built upon the success of the inaugural LawStrings Pickleball Premier League held in May in Delhi, with Smash Squad, a franchise owned by Senior Advocate Sonia Mathur, emerging as the champions. The LawStrings Pickleball Cup is recognised by Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India-approved national governing body for pickleball in India. Held at Rackonnect Exclusive Padel Pickle Park (REPPP) in Mehruli, the Pickleball Premier League marked a vibrant confluence of pickleball and law, drawing participation from seasoned legal professionals from across India, showcasing their skills with the paddle on the pickleball court. The tournament celebrated camaraderie, strategy, and a shared passion for the game in a first-of-its-kind pickleball league for lawyers. Now, with a new tournament for lawyers set to be held in the national capital, the LawStrings Pickleball Cup promises to be a one-of-a-kind sporting and networking event, bringing together law firms from across the country in a unique competitive format. “Designed to blend sport, strategy, and firm visibility, the tournament aims to foster wellness, camaraderie, and cross-firm engagement within the legal community,” the organiser stated in a press release. Asked about the inspiration behind organising a tournament exclusively for law firms, Shubham Malhotra, Founder of LawStrings Management, told Pickleball Now: 鈥淭he response to our Premier League made one thing clear: the legal fraternity is ready for something fresh, active, and community-driven. With the LawStrings Pickleball Cup, we鈥檙e offering firms a space to compete, connect, and create lasting memories.鈥 Format Each participating law firm will compete amongst each other in a round robin format. Every match-up will consist of 5 category matches: 猞 Men鈥檚 Doubles 猞 Women鈥檚 Doubles 猞 Mixed Doubles 猞 Men Singles 猞 Women Singles The Cup will be inaugurated with an opening ceremony hosted at an exclusive venue, featuring: 猞 Trophy Unveiling 猞 Team jersey unveiling 猞 Draw of lots 猞 Team introductions 猞 Dinner & networking 猞 Media presence from leading platforms Although the venue is yet to be finalised, the organisers stated that the tournament will take place at a premier pickleball venue in Delhi NCR.
