The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) is witnessing an unprecedented delay in announcing the WBJEE 2025 results. Students are facing uncertainty due to the postponement of results, given the Calcutta High Court’s stay on the revised OBC reservation list, effective till July 31. JoSAA has already started the counselling process, whereas WBJEE results are still on hold. Students are unsure whether they should wait for West Bengal JEE or confirm their seats at IITs/NITs. Students fear that they might lose their seats in IITs and NITs if WBJEE results are not announced anytime soon. On the other hand, if they lock seats elsewhere, they will lose the chance to gain admission to Jadavpur University. This issue is serious, since JU provides high-quality education at lower fees. It is a suitable option for students coming from economically weaker backgrounds. Meanwhile, as per a media report, faculty at Jadavpur University have also begun demanding the WBJEE 2025 results.
