Elden Ring Nightreign patch 1.01.4 updates the game with new information on armament, fixes some near-death bugs, and solves the problem of acquiring the It鈥檚 Raining! emote. The Nightreign 1.01.4 patch notes come courtesy of the official Bandai Namco website. Though short, the listed changes in this update are quite profound, and should make it easier to tell what sort of weapon you鈥檙e picking up. No longer will you need to wonder whether a weapon is a katana, curved sword, or even a greatsword or colossal weapon 鈥 the info is right on the weapon.

The Weapon Type will now be displayed in each Armament Information menu.
Fixed a bug where matchmaking would continually fail after two players joined and left your team at the same time.
Fixed a bug where the acquisition of the gesture 鈥淚t’s Raining!鈥 through Multiplayer would not register properly.
Note: You can obtain the gesture by meeting the conditions, even if you have met them before.
Fixed a bug where playable characters might revive from a near-death state without being defeated during the battle with the third-day boss after leaving a session and returning from the title screen.
Fixed a bug where the background music in the Recluse Remembrance would not play properly when certain conditions were met.
Fixed a bug where quitting the game incorrectly immediately after fulfilling the clearing conditions of the 鈥淪hifting Earth: Crater鈥, the 鈥淭he Crater鈥 achievement would not be awarded despite clearing the area.
Note: Even if you have already earned the achievement, meeting the 鈥淐rater鈥 clear conditions will award you with the clearing credit again.
Fixed several other instances of bugs.

It also seems like this patch has fixed an exploit some players had found. Based on the wording, players presumably had found a way to quit the Nightlord fight while on three-downs and rejoin, skipping the need to be revived. I鈥檓 glad to see that fixed.

The armament information is probably the most important one here. Unless you鈥檝e memorized each weapon, it can be tough to tell what are 鈥済reat鈥 weapons and which ones are 鈥渃olossal鈥. This info is vital if you鈥檙e using a relic that boosts your damage based on how many of a certain type of weapon you have in your inventory. Now we just need to be able to see weapon stat scaling.
