Woman Feeds Sister's 'Evil Cat' While She's Away—He Makes Feelings Clear

In a viral TikTok video, a mom from Massachusetts is asked to feed her sister’s evil cat while she is away, but the feline doesn’t seem too happy to see her.The hilarious clip shared on Monday under the username @chillermom, shows the poster stepping foot inside her sister’s house as the tabby cat welcomes her with hisses and loud moans. As she speaks to him, trying to make the cat feel less sad and lonely, while she feeds him lunch, the hissing only becomes more intense. At some point, the feline decides to hide away to scare her even more.”Please don’t attack me,” the poster can be heard saying in the clip, as she looks for the cat, who is hiding right behind the door, staring at her while hissing.”POV [point of view]: your sister asks you to feed her evil cat while she is away,” reads the caption.Hissing in cats is always seen as a sign of hostility, but the experts at Pet MD say that it is just a normal way for them to express fear. In fact, it is not uncommon to see felines hiss at other pets or people when they feel threatened. While hissing is normal, you should always address the cause behind this behavior and make sure your cat feels happy and safe in their environment. Excessive hissing could also be a sign that they are in pain, in which case you should seek a veterinarian’s help.Other reasons cats may hiss include confrontation with other animals; protecting their kittens; being in an unfamiliar situation or meeting an unfamiliar animal; feeling stressed; or even just showing displeasure or annoyance. The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 4.5 million views and more than 467,000 likes on the platform. One user, Jude_z, commented: “I had an evil cat. I had one friend she absolutely loved and I’m forever grateful that she would check on my baby when I was gone.”JJ posted: “He is just afraid of you. If you sit on the floor away from him multiple times he will figure out you’re not a threat, also bring treats! Background noise is great too so it’s not so lonely for him.”Emir Ai added: “Cats are very spiritual creatures, they can sense evil humans, just saying.”Newsweek reached out to @chillermom for comment via TikTok comments.
