The police have sought legal advice for booking five teachers of St. Dominic’s Convent English Medium School, Sreekrishnapuram, in Palakkad who are accused of abetting the suicide of a Class IX girl.
The victim’s family has raised allegations against the teachers.
The police said they would register a case against the teachers on the basis of the legal advice.
The girl had mentioned the names of five teachers in a suicide note that she wrote in her notebook. A forensic examination found that the note was authentic.
The teachers well expelled from the school following an uproar over the girl’s death. Her family demanded that the teachers be charged with abetting suicide.
