Viktor Gyokeres’ move to Arsenal appears to eventually be moving closer after a transfer agreement was reportedly reached . The Gunners are said to be in the final stages of negotiations with Sporting to bring the Swedish goal machine to the Emirates as a move for their other striker target, Benjamin Sesko, has been put on hold. Both strikers have been linked with a move to North London in big-money moves. But according to Sky Sports, Arsenal are pushing on with a deal for the 27-year-old and are deep in ‘advanced talks’ with the Portuguese champions. Gyokeres has also reportedly agreed a five-year deal at the Emirates, after he bagged 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting. After threatening to strike to force through a move, Gyokeres looks like he’s about to land his dream switch to Mikel Arteta ’s side. And he’s set to be joined by his stunning actress and model girlfriend, Ines Aguiar. Gyokeres moved to Lisbon in 2023 and within months rumours started swirling that he had started dating the 26-year-old Portuguese beauty. The brunette has appeared in various TV shows, and her twin sister, Joana, is also a star on screen. The two had kept their relationship under wraps before a picture of them together at an airport last April sparked rumours. It wasn’t until November that they went public, after she posted a video on her Instagram of Gyokeres scoring a penalty in the Champions League . And back in May, she was spotted cheering from the stands, donning a Sporting strip, only to find herself quizzed by supporters at one point, with unsurprising queries about Gyokeres’ future. Portuguese publication A Bola reported that she assured fans in a widely shared clip that she “promises” to coax her partner into committing to a third season with the squad – but that plan has clearly now gone out the window. Ines has 196,000 followers on Instagram and has recently shared videos and snaps of her on holiday. She has posted numerous pics of her vacationing around the world with her friends, including a trip to Brazil last year. But her social media page shows no sign of Gyokeres as their relationship continues to be low-key. While Gyokeres’ Instagram feed are all pictures from his football day job, with no mention of Ines either. However, Ines might not be best pleased with her man’s transfer stance as she previously stated she will ‘coax’ Gyokeres into staying in Lisbon. Gyokeres’ uncle, Chris, also shared his fondness for living in Lisbon, previously claiming that the family had concluded the striker should remain in Portugal. “Yes, very much,” he confirmed to Sport.TV when asked about their affinity for Lisbon. “Yesterday at dinner, we decided that he has to stay.” But Gyokeres’ desire to join Arsenal in the prime of his career outweighs all, as he looks set to be taking to the Emirates in the coming weeks.
