The Oasis reunion tour is one of the hottest anticipated events of the year. When the Gallagher’s announced they would be getting back together it took the nation by shock, with millions of fans gearing up to try and grab themselves a ticket for one of the 17 UK and Ireland dates. The tour will span five months , taking them from Australia to Argentina, but their inaugural performance will be in Cardiff, which is only six weeks away. Rehearsals reportedly kicked o ff with Noel in April, while Liam joined more recently, having taken time to rest his voice as they polish up some of their classic hits. The brothers haven’t shared a stage since 2009 , since Noel left the band before a Paris gig in 2009. So naturally with this tour 16 years in the making , fans were eager to grab themselves a ticket. Although hundreds of thousands were successful, many others were not. The day of the sale was plagued with technical issues and was marred in controversy after Ticketmaster implemented a “dynamic pricing” policy to increase the price of in-demand tickets, leaving some fans with a hefty price. After some particularly long virtual queues, some reportedly as long as 10 hours, the general sale of the tour had officially sold out, leaving millions of unlucky and distraught fans without a ticket. Nearly 10 months on, the tour is just around the corner, with the first dates in Cardiff kicking things off on July 4 and July 5, but what options do fans have if they still want a place at the gig? One of those options is the ethical resale site Twickets . The website offers fans the option to sell their tickets at face value or less in an attempt to battle touts. Because of the lower prices tickets on the site are often very quickly snapped up and therefore may take some dedication to refreshing and constant checking in hope of grabbing yourself a place at the Principality. Ticketmaster also offers a verified ticket resale service with tickets currently available for both Cardiff dates. Because of the nature of ticket resale, many of the tickets on the platform are single seats scattered around the stadium. The price may also put many fans off with the resale ticket’s up for sale at 拢562.40 and 拢564.77 each.
