NAS Complaints
1. The Journal Investigates has revealed that there has been a sharp rise in complaints alleging inappropriate behaviour and sexual harassment within the National Ambulance Service (NAS).
Some are so serious, gardaí are currently investigating at least two of those complaints, separately made by women employees.
Ceasefire deal
2. Hamas has been urged to accept a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza by US President Donald Trump, who claims Israel has agreed to finalise a deal despite its forces stepping up operations in the region.
Israel’s campaign continued to rage on yesterday, with Gaza’s civil defence agency reporting that Israeli forces killed at least 26 people.
3. The fraud and forgery trial of former hurling star DJ Carey is set to begin today at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Carey denies all charges against him, including 19 counts that he dishonestly induced people to pay him money after he fraudulently claimed to have cancer and needed finances for treatment.
4. It’s been three years since Taoiseach Micheál Martin visited Japan and this time around his message in Tokyo is that both Ireland and Japan are two “peace loving” nations.
Martin noted that both Ireland and Japan are also committed “to an international rules based order”.

5. A man has been charged with murder and child destruction following the death of of 27-year-old Sarah Montgomery in Donaghadee in Co Down on Saturday.
The 28-year-old man is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today.
Extradition warrant
6. Former Irish Olympic swimming coach George Gibney was arrested by US authorities in Florida yesterday afternoon.
He was taken into custody by US Marshals on foot of an Irish extradition warrant and is being detained pending a court appearance.
7. A jury in New York has reached a partial verdict in the high-profile sex trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, but remains deadlocked on the most serious charge: racketeering conspiracy, which carries a potential life sentence.
8. A woman remains critically injured in hospital following a two-car collision near Blessington, Co Wicklow on Sunday night.
