Janhvi Kapoor is currently making headlines for her upcoming release, Param Sundari. The film is slated for a July 25 release, which means it will clash with Ajay Devgn鈥檚 Son Of Sardaar 2. However, recent reports suggest that the makers might postpone the release date to avoid the clash and the film being lost among the number of flicks set to arrive in theatres this month.
Recently, Times Now quoted the Peepingmoon report saying, 鈥淒inesh Vijan didn鈥檛 want Param Sundari to be lost in a crowded release schedule next month. The producer reportedly feels that the romantic drama has commercial value. Since there are already other rom-coms releasing in July, the visibility and reception of Sidharth-Janhvi鈥檚 film might have been affected.鈥
After Param Sundari, fans will also see Janhvi alongside Ram Charan in his much-anticipated 16th film, Peddi. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the mass actioner also stars Shiva Raj Kumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu in the key roles. It is produced by the director Sukumar鈥檚 home banner, Sukumar Writings. The music is composed by Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman.
Janhvi Kapoor鈥檚 upcoming slate also includes Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the romantic drama stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. He is joined by Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, Rohit Saraf and Maniesh Paul, adding to the star-studded cast. The film is backed by Karan Johar鈥檚 Dharma Productions and Khaitan鈥檚 Mentor Disciple Entertainment and will release in theatres on September 12.
Janhvi鈥檚 Homebound, co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, was recently premiered at the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the poignant drama received a nine-minute standing ovation at the prestigious film festival.
