Mangaluru: The Citizens Council 鈥 Mangaluru Chapter is set to host a thought-provoking public talk titled 鈥淓mergency 1975: Democracy Derailed鈥 on Friday, July 4 at 5:30 PM, at TV Raman Pai Convention Centre, Kodialbail.
Renowned author, columnist, and political analyst Dr Ratan Sharda will deliver the keynote address. In this session, Dr Sharda will delve into the political, social, and constitutional consequences of the 1975 Emergency, offering both historical insight and modern relevance. The discussion aims to shed light on how that pivotal moment reshaped India鈥檚 democratic framework and left an enduring imprint on the nation鈥檚 governance.
