Coronation Street fans have said they ‘can’t believe’ it as they remembered where they have seen James Cartwright before. The actor can currently be seen playing Theo Silverton in the ITV soap, having made his debut earlier this year as the new love interest of Todd Grimshaw. They met when a piece of scaffolding, from the site Theo is managing, almost hit an then-ill Julie Carp. Theo apologised, although he later told George Shuttleworth that Julie was clearly faking her pain as the scaffolding missed her by miles. But when George revealed that Julie has terminal cancer, Theo was left mortified and was quick to try and make amends, pushing him further into Todd’s orbit. Get all the latest Corrie gossip and spoilers in our newsletter here They initially tried to keep their sizzling romance under wraps, with Todd then unaware that Theo had a secret wife, Danielle, and two children, but knowing he was battling with his family’s religious beliefs, revealing he’d been subject to conversion therapy. More recently, the couple have been tested thanks to Theo’s daughter, Millie Silverton, who has faked being pregnant in a bid to try and split him and Todd, and bring him back home to be back with her mum, Danielle. During Monday’s (June 30) edition of Corrie, viewers saw that Millie was disappointed to learn that her father wasn’t coming on a family holiday and later, he was called to the school to talk about Millie’s absences, worrying him even further. As Todd and Millie headed to the caf茅, he called her bluff and shared that he knew she had been lying about the pregnancy, with Millie admitting that she had “panicked” after Theo left the family home. She seemingly agreed to Todd’s proposal of taking another pregnancy test and passing the original off as a false positive, but he warned her to stop meddling in their relationship. But Todd was horrified when Millie lied that she had been to an abortion clinic at his request. While Theo initially believed his daughter and accused Todd of lying, he eventually realised that his daughter was the one who hadn’t been telling the truth. Upset by Theo’s accusations, Todd headed for a pint at the Rovers, where he was joined by James Bailey. As the former footballer offered to buy his pal a pint, Todd suggested something stronger and the pair went back to Todd’s place and almost shared a kiss, which Todd pulled away from, before Theo walked in as they hugged. Despite initially seeming calm, Theo suggested that Todd stay away from both Millie and James, asserting a sense of control. He later headed over to James’ home and had a word with him, menacingly ordering him to stay out of his “business” and that they would be “exchanging more than words” if he didn’t. Following the scenes, Corrie fans were distracted as they remembered how James was once a star of Tracy Beaker, in which he played Nathan from 2003 to 2004.
