A new report has provided an update on the status of Orange Cassidy. The two-time AEW International Champion has been out of action since March.According to Fightful Select, there is currently no concrete timeline for his return. While he may be able to make odd appearances, he is not cleared to compete.His last match was in March, where he competed in a four-way against Ricochet, Mark Davis, and Mike Bailey. AEW President Tony Khan later confirmed the injury at the post-AEW Dynasty media scrum.”To lose wrestlers like Orange Cassidy and then Jay White, back-to-back weeks, those are two of the top stars in the company,” Khan said at the time.Other AEW Stars Also Out Of ActionCassidy is one of several prominent AEW stars currently on the injured list. The company has been dealing with what Khan called an “injury bug.”Other notable names currently out of action include Jay White, Juice Robinson, Buddy Matthews, and Eddie Kingston. There are no definitive return dates for these performers either.Cassidy is one of AEW’s most unique and popular stars, known for his “King of Sloth Style” gimmick. His character’s lazy, hands-in-pockets demeanor hides explosive athleticism and technical skill, a persona he perfected on the independent circuit before joining AEW in 2019.Initially part of the Best Friends faction, Cassidy’s immense popularity quickly propelled him into the main event picture, with major feuds against stars like Chris Jericho and PAC.His biggest accomplishment is being a two-time AEW International Champion. His first reign was particularly memorable, featuring a long series of successful title defenses that became a staple of AEW programming. He is currently on hiatus from the company, recovering from a significant injury he sustained in March 2025.Cassidy has yet to publicly comment on his status or injury.
