Titan: The OceanGate Submersible Disaster, the recently released Netflix documentary, received positive reviews for its comprehensive and ethically insightful portrayal of the Titan submersible tragedy. The film examines the events leading up to the implosion of the Titan submersible in 2023, during a dive to the Titanic wreckage. Now, actress Hina Khan has shared her review of the Docu-film and called it a ‘must-watch.’
Taking to Instagram, Hina shared a boomerang video on her stories showcasing her TV screen displaying Titan on Netflix. She captioned the clip with a sticker that reads, “Must Watch.”
The film, released by Netflix on June 11, follows the events leading up to the disaster, the subsequent search and rescue efforts of five people who were on board, and the broader implications for deep-sea tourism and safety regulations.
According to Variety, the vessel exploded on the submersible’s sixth journey to the Titanic debris in the North Atlantic, killing five people, including billionaire and OceanGate co-founder and CEO Stockton Rush. Backed by Story Syndicate and Diamond Docs, the documentary delves at Rush’s background and “his quest to become the next billionaire innovator.” According to former OceanGate bookkeeper Bonnie Carl, Rush aspired to be like Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk.
Coming back to Hina, she is enjoying her newly married life with Rocky Jaiswal, amid her battle with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. The duo got married in an intimate wedding ceremony on June 4, after dating each other for around 13 years.
On the work front, she was last seen in the web series, Griha Laxmi on the OTT platform, EPIC ON.
Hina is set to make her small screen comeback with the upcoming reality show Pati, Patni aur Woh along with her husband Rocky Jaiswal. The show will also feature celebrity couples like Debina Bonnerjee, Gurmeet Choudhary and Avika Gor with Milind Chandwani and others.
In the show, each couple will be given playful challenges and interesting tasks to test their compatibility. The makers are yet to reveal the show’s official premiere date and time, but the buzz is strong among the fans.
