Munmun Dutta has clarified that she isn鈥檛 quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Recently, the actress who plays the role of Babita Ji in the popular sitcom took to her Instagram handle and dropped a video from the sets of the show. In the clip, she was seen shooting for one of the upcoming scenes of the show. The video shared a glimpse of the Iyer鈥檚 house along with some visuals from Munmun鈥檚 makeup room.
In the caption of the video, Munmun clarified that she is still a part of TMKOC. 鈥淩umours are always not true ? ? #munmundutta #workmodeon #tmkoc,鈥 she wrote. Check it out here:

For the unversed, rumours of Munmun Dutta鈥檚 exit from TMKOC started after fans noticed that Babita Ji had been missing from the 鈥楤hootni鈥 plot for a long time. All the members of the Gokuldham society were on vacation in a haunted bungalow. While other characters like Bapu ji, Popatlal, Sodhi and others joined Taarak Mehta and Anjali on this vacation, Babita Ji was missing in action. This left everyone wondering if Munmun Dutta was planning to quit the show.
However, later, the show鈥檚 production house told ABP News that Munmun Dutta is still part of the show.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running successfully for 17 years now. However, in these years, several actors have also left the show. Among others, Disha Vakani, Jheel Mehta, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat, Palak Sindhwani, Gurucharan Singh Sodhi and Neha Mehta are no longer a part of TMKOC.
In a previous interview with the SCREEN, Asit Modi talked about actors leaving the show and then making allegations against him. 鈥淚 have never detached myself from the actors. If there is any issue, they can always contact me. I have always been very honest and kept the show first. I have never thought of any personal gains, so with incidents like these, I do get upset, but it鈥檚 a part of life,鈥 he said.
