The African National Congress (ANC) has described the Democratic Alliance (DA)鈥檚 action against Higher Education and Training Minister, Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane as a coordinated attack.
The party says Nkabane deceived Parliament about the formation of an independent panel and the appointment of ANC-linked individuals to the SETA Board.
The DA鈥檚 decision to lay charges comes ahead of Nkabane鈥檚 budget vote presentation in the NCOP on Thursday.
ANC Youth League Secretary-General, Mntuwoxolo Ngudle, 鈥淭he DA is misled in terms of South Africa鈥檚 law. They must quote any section of the applicable legislation that says you must not be aligned to the government of the day. So, let鈥檚 not allow South Africa鈥檚 society to be misled by people who want to create a fa莽ade on matters they have got political interest in. This is a democratic country and it鈥檚 governed by applicable legislation. Let鈥檚 not allow a coordinated attack on a female, young minister.鈥
