The three roads that keep on catching drivers out as thousands of fines issued

The Salford roads where thousands of drivers are getting parking fines have been revealed. A freedom of information request submitted by the Local Democracy Reporting Service found that Salford council made more than 拢1.1m last year from around 40,000 parking fines in total. Michigan Avenue in Salford Quays was named the worst place in the city for problem parking, where the council issued 1,394 fines between June 2024 and 2025. The road is close to the growing number of tower blocks and new developments in the Quays neighbourhood, as well as being the entrance to several businesses.
