Idhayam Rajendran School, Nedungulam, hosted the 25th State-Level Basketball and 18th State-Level Volleyball Tournaments, featuring 46 teams from across Tamil Nadu from June 23 to 26, 2025. The event was inaugurated by R. Murugan, and T.S.S. Sundarrajan. In basketball, Kalvi International School, Sholavandan emerged as champions, followed by Lions School, Srivilliputhur (first runner-up) and Velammal Matric Hr. Sec. School, Chennai (second runner-up). In volleyball, PKNU Kamaraj Matriculation School, Srivilliputhur secured the title, with Nadar Matriculation School, Rajapalayam as first runner-up and Sethupathi School, Madurai as second runner-up. The valedictory events were graced by R. Parthasarathy and R. Bala Murugan.

Zonal ASISC Literary Events 2025

Idhayam Rajendran School, Madurai, hosted the Zonal ASISC Literary Competitions for Zone 3 on June 21. A total of 197 students participated in various events, including Debate, Declamation, Creative Writing, Quiz and Painting. Winners from this zonal round have qualified to participate in the Regional Level Competitions.

Bridge Course

A one-day Bridge Course on 鈥淐ommunicative English Competency鈥 was organised by the PG Department and Research Centre in English, Madura College, Madurai, on June 26 for the first-year students. Activities and games focusing on LSRW skills, vocabulary enrichment, pronunciation practice, body language, English for competitive examinations and AI-enhanced language learning were conducted. Sheela P. Karthick, Head of the Department of English, initiated the course. About 250 students participated in it.

International Day of Yoga celebration

On International Yoga Day, Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai, organised a yoga awareness event at TSM football ground with 100 participants. A warm-up drill led by A. Sirajudeen, physical education director, followed by Nachiketas, Assistant Professor and Yoga Practitioner. Pranayama techniques and a session on healthy lifestyle awareness were conducted by B. Nataraj, Assistant Professor. Vote of thanks was delivered by student representative Yuva Prakash.
