One of the most beloved faces on Indian television, especially in the reality space, Rannvijay Singha is all set to venture into a new project with Chhoriyan Chali Gaon. The actor will be the host on the show, which will have popular urban ladies in a rural Indian village taking up new challenges. Rannvijay will mentor, motivate and guide the women through the lives of the villagers while also presenting the voice of the people.
Best known for his legacy across reality show formats, Rannvijay has admitted to feeling a personal connection with Chhoriyan Chali Gaon. “The moment I heard about the show’s concept, I was instantly drawn to it. As someone who has seen both the comforts of city life and has a deep connection to the soil, the format spoke to me on a personal level. It is not just any other reality show but a journey, a mindset shift. In today’s world, where everything is just a click away, the show challenges all those conveniences,” he said in a statement, as per PTI.

Rannvijay also expressed his excitement about joining the show, describing it as “rooted, meaningful and entertaining.” He explained how the contestants will have to work hard and show true effort to earn a single meal. Let alone the other luxuries.
“Hosting it gives me the chance to witness real change, raw emotion, and untapped resilience. I believe audiences won’t just watch this show—they’ll feel it, and perhaps, rediscover a part of themselves in the process,” he added.

Earlier in an interview with IANS, Rannvijay spoke about the show, stating that the women will get to experience a blend of fun and responsibility in the village, whereas he is also expecting to face new challenges. The actor even shared that he would like to live in a village permanently, where he would take up farming, build a basketball court, and even go off-roading.
Set to air on Zee TV, Chhoriyan Chali Gaon will revolve around the 12 women, who will move from their city lives to rural areas. They will spend over 60 days in the village without any gadgets, luxuries, comfort or shortcuts, and will instead take on real village chores. Expected to take viewers on a journey of transformation and cultural immersion, the show will be anchored on three pillars – Rural Survival & Adaptation, Cultural Immersion & Emotional Growth, and Competition & Social Strategy.
The premiere date for Chhoriyan Chali Gaon is still not revealed.
