As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, the former Manchester United midfielder is back in football after he put pen to paper with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

Pogba鈥檚 comeback with AS Monaco

On Saturday, Monaco announced the signing of Paul Pogba on a two-year deal that will keep him at the Ligue 1 club until June 30, 2027.

This marks Pogba鈥檚 return to top-level football after serving a 21-month suspension for a drug violation, which was reduced from four years to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in August 2024.

Pogba鈥檚 last competitive game was a brief 29-minute appearance for Juventus in September 2023 before the ban.

Career highlights and prospects

Pogba rose to prominence at Juventus after an acrimonous departure from Manchester United as an 18-year-old, winning four Serie A titles between 2012 and 2016, before a return to Old Trafford where he spent five years and lifted the FA Cup and Europa League.

After returning to Juventus in 2022 as a free agent, he faced the suspension setback that threatened to end his football career.

Despite rumours had to MLS clubs like Inter Miami and LA Galaxy, but his move to Monaco excites fans across the wold.

Rinsola Babajide expressed her enthusiasm on social media with a simple 鈥淧ogback鈥 post to celebrate the return of the star.

Meanwhile, Babajide will continue to prepare with Nigeria鈥檚 Super Falcons for their WAFCON 2025 warm-up clash against Ghana this Sunday in the famed jollof derby.
