DAMATURU 鈥 The Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Abdulkarim Lawan, has congratulated the former Deputy National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC (North), Honourable Ali Bukar Dalori for his emergence as the National Chairman.
Recall that Dalori was handed over the mantle of leadership last Friday following resignation of the former Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who cited health challenges as major reason for him to quit.
Addressing Journalists in Maiduguri at the week end, the longest serving Speaker in the history of Nigeria commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the leader of the APC for directing the former Chairman to hand over the affairs of the party to Hon. Dalori for continuity and progress.
Lawan described Dalori鈥檚 appointment as 鈥 a square peg in a round hole鈥, noting that the new acting Chairman will reconcile all aggrieved members of the party for progress and inclusivity.
