The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company, responsible for handling power distribution in the city, has cautioned people about the impact of the outage.
Some parts of Karnataka鈥檚 Bengaluru are set to experience a scheduled power outage lasting several hours on Sunday. This comes as the authorities have planned maintenance work at one of Bengaluru鈥檚 power stations: 66/11 kV A station. The planned activity will take place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), responsible for handling power distribution in the city, has cautioned people about the impact of the outage, advising them to prepare in advance. According to BESCOM, the power cut will affect several areas, including Seshadri Road, Crescent Road, and Race Course Road. Other impacted locations are Chalukya Circle, Kempegowda Road and parts of Subedar Chatram Road, among other locations.

BESCOM has advised residents to prepare in advance in view of the situation. Residents in the impacted areas are advised to charge their electronic devices such as mobiles, power banks and laptops, store drinking water and arrange temporary power backup for essential appliances or emergencies.

Power will be restored once maintenance work is complete at the power station. Residents are also advised to regularly check BESCOM鈥檚 social media handles and official website to stay updated on the power outage situation.

Additionally, residents can call the direct helpline at 1912 for assistance.
