Veteran Nollywood actor Segun Arinze has revealed his top picks for the greatest Super Eagles players of all time.
He didn鈥檛 leave out the late Rashidi Yekini, Nigeria鈥檚 all-time leading goalscorer, describing him with a tinge of sorrow.

Arinze鈥檚 picks are a reflection of Nigeria鈥檚 footballing golden era in the 1990s and early 2000s, a time when the Super Eagles dazzled on the global stage, capturing the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations, participating in multiple World Cups, and winning Olympic gold in 1996.
鈥淲e鈥檝e had so many footballers that are great. I will pick Kanu Nwankwo and Austin 鈥楯ay Jay鈥 Okocha. If I will add a third, that would be Victor Ikpeba.鈥
鈥淭he late Rashidi Yekini was good, even though death played a fast one on him,” he said.
The screen legend, who has graced Nigerian television and film for over three decades, also added that Super Eagles players has to decided maybe they will go to the 2026 FIFA World Cup or not.
He added, “It depends on the boys. They have to decide that. And also, the NFF will also have to get their bearing right and quit playing dirty stupid politics. Give the boys their allowances and make sure you take care of their welfare.”
