Doechii will be performing at Glastonbury for the first time this weekend as she headlines the West Holts Stage on Saturday. The American rapper and singer found fame after her songs became viral on TikTok in 2021. She also recently won the Best Rap Album at the Grammys for her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal. Doechii, whose real name is Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon, has taken to social media to share her excitement at playing at Worthy Farm for the first time. Posting a video on TikTok appearing to be at rehearsals, Doechii wrote: “I’M HEADLINING GLASTONBURY THIS SUMMER.” Known for her high-energy performances, the 26-year-old is likely to play some of her hit singles on Saturday, such as Nissan Altima, Denial Is a River and Anxiety. Doechii will be performing on the West Holts Stage on Saturday, June 28. Her set will start at 22.45 and last for 45 minutes, finishing at 23.30, according to the Glastonbury website. She will take to the stage after acts like Amaarae, Kneecap and Bob Vylan. Highlights from the five main stages will be shown on the BBC iPlayer, as well as on BBC One and Two at various points over the weekend. Throughout the weekend, fans will be able to watch continuous live streams from the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Park and Woodsies stages. Glastonbury performers sometimes bring out special guests during their performance, sometimes performing with artists they have collaborated with before or taking the opportunity to team up with someone else on the line up they wouldn’t usually share a stage with. Glasto goers have been taken by surprise with huge stars turning up on the Pyramid Stage plenty of times before. Last year, Coldplay brought on Hollywood legend Michael J Fox for an emotional performance of Fix You, as well as rapper Little Simz, who performed We Pray with the band. In 2023, Elton John brought out four special guests for his set, including The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers. In 2022, Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen joined headliner Paul McCartney, the former Beatle, on stage. While Doechii has not confirmed that she will bring out any special guests during her performance at Glastonbury, she may do something special for her first time at the festival. Doechii is known for her collaborations with other artists, such as with Victoria Mon茅t, Tyler the Creator and BLACKPINK’s Jennie, so it would not be surprising if she decided to bring a collaborator onto the Glastonbury stage with her this weekend. The latest set list that we have is from Doechii’s most recent live show at the Capital Concert Stage in Washington. The setlist has been shared online by Setlist.fm.
