Kaiser Chiefs will play Glastonbury’s famous Pyramid Stage on Saturday night (June 28). The indie rock band from Leeds first played the festival in 2005 and have performed there multiple times since. Currently on the 20 Years of Employment tour, the band will make their way to Worthy Farm after playing Bristol Sounds two nights earlier. The band, led by frontman Ricky Wilson, are known for their hit singles Ruby, I Predict a Riot and Everyday I Love You Less and Less. It’s 20 years since the band first performed at the festival, having played on the Pyramid Stage in 2005. They have performed a number of times over the years, including on the John Peel Stage in 2014 and the Other Stage in 2017. Kaiser Chiefs will take to Glastonbury’s main stage, the Pyramid Stage, this year. The band are playing on Saturday, June 28 at midday. Their set will start at 12pm and last for 1 hour, finishing at 1pm, according to the Glastonbury website. Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts will be headlining on the Pyramid Stage later that evening, and other performers coming after Kaiser Chiefs include Brandi Carlile, The Script and RAYE. Highlights from the five main stages will be shown on the BBC iPlayer, as well as on BBC One and Two at various points over the weekend. Throughout the weekend, fans will be able to watch continuous live streams from the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Park and Woodsies stages. Glastonbury performers sometimes bring out special guests during their performance, sometimes performing with artists they have collaborated with before or taking the opportunity to team up with someone else on the line up they wouldn’t usually share a stage with. Glasto goers have been taken by surprise with huge stars turning up on the Pyramid Stage plenty of times before. Last year, Coldplay brought on Hollywood legend Michael J Fox for an emotional performance of Fix You, as well as rapper Little Simz, who performed We Pray with the band. In 2023, Elton John brought out four special guests for his set, including The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers. In 2022, Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen joined headliner Paul McCartney, the former Beatle, on stage. While Kaiser Chiefs have not confirmed they will bring out any special guests during their performance they may do something special to celebrate 20 years of their first album Employment. At their recent show at Temple Newsam, Leeds, they brought out former band mate Nick Hodgson. It was his first performance with the band since 2012. The latest set list that we have is from the band’s most recent tour, 20 Years of Employment. The setlist has been shared online by Setlist.fm.
